What reason(s) do you write for?
I write because writing is what I've always enjoyed. It's not a love like with some people. But I know that when I write, I always have a little bit of myself in the words. Opening myself up for others to see indirectly is hard but rewardign in the end.
Do you take your writing seriously?
Sort of. I write for fun for the most part. But I've become more serious in recent times, especially with NaNo and Script Frenzy. I've turned from write once in a while to writing more often. I finish what I start more and I'm not constantly jumping from one plot to another.
If so, when did you start taking writing seriously?
Probably sometime last October, when I realized that I wanted to win NaNo and actually go somewhere with my writing. And so I did! I managed to write a 53,007 word novel, which is printed out and on my bookshelf with the rest of my books. It was the accomplishment that made me see that I need to be more serious about writing.
Where do you feel you stand as a writer?
I would say that I'm novice, but I say that about everything I do. I've been writing here and there for the last five years. I could be a lot better, but I could be a whole lot worse.
What do you feel you do well? (ie, characterisation, dialogue, imagery, etc.)
I'm decent with description. I don't consider myself to be very good at one aspect. I like to bring together a bit of everything and make it good as a whole. I've gotten a lot better at endings and wrapping things up lately though...
What do you feel you struggle with?
Dialogue. Always dialogue. And I have the bad habit of overusing commas. A lot. I just love them so much.
What do you most want to improve on?
Characterization and dialogue. Which go hand in hand in my own opinion.
Do you have any questions to ask your readers(Oh, yes! Lots!)
Does anyone actually read my stuff? And not the lame fanfiction(Which is more of a writing exercize than anything to me)?
Are my stories without dialogue any good?
How can I better improve my descriptive-ness?
What about my writing makes you not want to read it?
What about my writing makes you want to read it?
Of what I've put on DA, which piece of writing do you think is the best?
Do I have any habits or words that stand out in my writing?
